Privacy notice
Last updated October 28, 2026
This notice explains what information Groomuno collects, why we use it and who receives it. Groomuno is operated by Groomuno LLC. For privacy questions or requests, email groomuno@gmail.com.
What we collect
From dog owners:
- Account and contact details: your name, email address and mobile phone number, plus the records needed to sign you in and keep you signed in.
- Dog profiles: your dogs’ names, breed, size, weight, coat, age and the notes you write for the groomer.
- Bookings: the salon, services, groomer, time, dog and notes for each appointment, its status and history, and for a mobile visit, the visit address you enter.
- Your favorite salons and the reviews you write.
From salons and their teams:
- Owner account details, and business profile information such as the business name, address or service area, phone, services, prices, hours, groomer profiles, photos and description. A groomer profile is calendar information; it isn’t a sign-in account.
- Client, dog and appointment records that a salon enters in its Groomuno calendar. These can include people who haven’t used Groomuno themselves.
- Records of who has access to a workspace and, where team sign-in is available, team members’ account details and invitations.
From anyone who contacts us or uses the site:
- Walkthrough requests, inquiries and support emails.
- Records of important account, booking and workspace changes.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and error details, which our providers receive when you use the site.
How we use it
- To create and secure accounts and sign you in.
- To show salons in search and on maps, run salon calendars, and make, change and cancel appointments.
- To share the details a booked salon needs with that salon.
- To send service emails such as sign-in codes, booking confirmations and changes, and, where team sign-in is available, team invitations.
- To respond to walkthrough requests, questions and privacy requests.
- To prevent abuse, keep Groomuno secure and diagnose errors.
We don’t sell your personal information and we don’t collect payment card details.
Who receives it
The salon you book. When you book, the salon or groomer receives your name and contact details, your dog’s details and notes, and the appointment details. For a mobile visit, the street address is shared privately with the groomer you book; it isn’t shown in the public directory.
The public. Published salon profiles, their services and prices, and reviews are public. A review shows the reviewer’s first name and the review date.
Service providers that help us run Groomuno:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and our database and provides network security. Where image uploads are enabled, Cloudflare also stores the uploaded images.
- Plunk sends our service emails and records whether they were delivered and when a tracked link in them is clicked. When open tracking is enabled, it can also record whether an email was opened.
- Sentry receives error reports from the website and our servers so we can fix problems. Personal details are removed from reports before they’re sent. We don’t use Sentry for session replay or advertising.
- Google Places receives the city or address text you type into search and address fields that offer Google suggestions, when you use them.
- Maps load from OpenFreeMap, and some photos load from third-party hosts, including Unsplash. Your browser requests these directly, so those providers receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t store sign-in tokens in your browser’s local storage.
While you book, this browser tab keeps a draft in session storage so your choices survive moving between pages, signing in or refreshing. The draft holds the selected salon, services, groomer, dog size, time and dog, any notes you’ve typed, and the mobile visit address you enter. A signed-in draft’s notes, dog selection and visit address are restored only for that same account; these fields are cleared from the form when you sign out or switch accounts. A draft started while signed out can continue through sign-in or signup. The draft is removed when your booking succeeds.
Just before a booking request is sent, the tab also keeps a short record of it in session storage: your account ID, the salon’s ID and a random reference for that request. It doesn’t hold the booking details, notes, a visit address or anything that signs you in. If the answer to a booking request doesn’t arrive, Groomuno uses this record to check whether the booking went through before another one can be sent. It’s removed once Groomuno confirms that the request made its booking or won’t make one. A record for an account you’ve since signed out of in this tab can stay until that account checks it again or the tab is closed.
For salon teams, this browser’s local storage keeps Pro calendar display preferences, such as day or week view and which groomer calendars are shown. These aren’t saved to your Groomuno account. Groomuno doesn’t keep a list of recently viewed salons; a list saved by an earlier version is removed the next time you open Groomuno in this browser.
You can clear cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser’s settings. Clearing the session cookie signs you out.
How long we keep information
We keep accounts, business workspaces, and appointment, client, review and audit history for operating records, so customers and salons have an accurate history. Cancelling an appointment, removing a dog from your active list or archiving a client doesn’t erase past records. Groomuno doesn’t currently delete accounts automatically or have a fixed schedule for deleting historical records.
Your choices and requests
You can update your name and phone number, edit dogs and remove favorites from My account. You can also remove a dog there, once it has no upcoming confirmed appointment; cancel or complete that appointment first. Past appointment records for the dog are kept. If you need help, email groomuno@gmail.com.
To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, email groomuno@gmail.com. If you have a Groomuno account, write from the address on your account. If you don’t, for example because a salon entered your details in its calendar, include your contact details and the name of the salon. We’ll verify your identity without asking for your password or sign-in codes, or for more information than we need. We’ll review what can be removed, including relevant records held in a salon’s Groomuno calendar. Some records may need to be kept, for example where the other party to an appointment relies on them or where we’re required to keep them, and copies can remain in backups for a time. We can’t erase information that a salon or a provider holds outside Groomuno.
Children
Groomuno is intended for adults and business operators and isn’t directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email groomuno@gmail.com and we’ll look into it.
Changes
We’ll update this notice when our practices change and show the new date at the top of this page.
